"Let us therefore animate and encourage each other, and show the whole world that a Freeman, contending for liberty on his own ground, is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth" – George Washington, 2 July 1776 |

The courage upon which US president Andrew Jackson drew from his trust in God is a call to us all: Andrew Jackson routs US bankers and reduces Federal debt to zero Andrew Jackson, upon entry into the Oval Office, called a delegation of bankers into the White House and told them, ‘You are a den of vipers and thieves! I intend to rout you out, and by the grace of the Eternal God, will rout you out!’ This was not a man to sidestep issues - Andrew Jackson was a rambunctious man who took problems head-on. Whats more: he solved them! This was the only President in U.S. history to ever reduce the Federal debt to zero. He may not have been exaggerating when he said, The bank is trying to kill me! But I will kill it! After he dissolved the Second National Bank of America (back then banks were granted twenty year charters to print money) there was an attempt on his life. The would-be assassin pointed his pistol at President Jackson and pulled the trigger- the gun jammed. An enraged sixty-seven-year-old President attacked him with his cane as the gunman pulled a second pistol out and pulled the trigger- again, this gun jammed! It seems the grace of the Eternal God was with President Jackson!
[2:277] Allah will abolish interest and will cause charity to increase. And Allah loves not anyone who is a confirmed disbeliever and an arch sinner. [2:278] Surely, those who believe and do good deeds, and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, shall have their reward from their Lord, and no fear shall come on them, nor shall they grieve. [2:279] O ye who believe! fear Allah and relinquish what remains of interest, if you are believers. [2:280] But if you do it not, then beware of war from Allah and His Messenger; and if you repent, then you shall have your original sums; thus you shall not wrong, nor shall you be wronged. [2:281] And if any debtor be in straitened circumstances, then grant him respite till a time of ease. And that you remit it as charity shall be better for you, if only you knew.
